Today, Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis has approved nine water supply schemes, two sewage treatment plants and an overbridge for different districts of the state.
Balika Samriddhi Yojana
Balika Samriddhi Yojana started in 1997 is an important initiative of the government to raise the status of the girl child. The scheme’s aims at changing the negative attitude of families and communities towards the girl child, to increase enrolment and retention of girls in schools, to raise the marriage age of girls and to create income opportunities and activities. A series of incentives are incorporated into the Yojana, such as a gift of Rs. 500/- to the mother on delivery of a baby girl and the condition of an annual scholarship for the girl child education.
Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana
The state government of Rajasthan has launched a new scheme named ‘Mukhya Mantri Hamari Beti Yojana‘ for topper girls. CM Vasundhara Raje has started this scheme.
The State Government of Jharkhand would start ‘Tejaswini Yojana‘ in 17 districts of the state to link 32.40 lakh women with Skills development and informal education. In the first phase this year, the scheme will start in Ramgarh, Chatra, Khunti and Dumka. Next year the scheme will start in five districts Palamau, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Godda and Devgarh else next year Latehar, Koderma, Jamtara, Lohardaga, Sarai Kallan- Kharsawan, Simdega, Pakur and East Singhbhum will be connected to the scheme.
Haryana Saksham Yojana
The State government of Haryana is inviting the applications for ‘Haryana Saksham Yojana‘. The last date for applying for this scheme is 28 Feb 2017. The Eligible and needy applicants i.e. unemployed Post Graduate candidates can register for this scheme via Saksham Web Portal until midnight of the last date.
Nijer Paye Dara Scheme
Sadhan Pande, West Bengal Self-Help Group and Self-Employment Minister introduced a unique loan scheme named ‘Nijer Paye Dara Scheme‘ for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).
The State government of Telangana is going to bring more welfare schemes in addition to the existing schemes to the tune of Rs 3,000 crore in the budget proposal for 2017-18.

Hunar Vikas Yojna is a scheme which aims to develop the skills of the young generation in order to make them an independent being.
The novel scheme “Mukhya Mantri Hunar Vikash Yojana” was started in 2011-12 for higher education/skill building programme to beneficiaries of Palanhar Yojana and children staying in Institutional Home (Government and Non Government running Institutional Home). Under which the State is providing skill development programmes for the children 17 years to 21 years.
