You Need to Know About Yogi Packaging Yojana Fraud Scheme
According to the latest news, there is a fraud scheme is running in Uttar Pradesh under the name of ‘Yogi Packaging Yojana‘. Similarly, already a fake Beti Bachao forms which had lakhs of people from UP, Uttarakhand, and Delhi paying 200-250 to fill up forms that promised money into their accounts when their daughters turned 18 and finally a new scam has come upfront of UP government named ‘Yogi packaging yojana’.
Under this fraud scheme, thousands of mostly poor and illiterate women paying Rs 20 to get soap packaging work that promises them Rs 5,000 per month. Police have begun probing the matter. This comes days after CBI formally took over investigations in the Beti Bachao scam.
In this regard, an intelligence unit (LIU) investigating officer in Shamli said that we have received information about this fake scheme.
He also said we are trying to get hold of these forms and have also sent teams to various locations where women have been duped. We will soon get to the source of this fraud.
According to the information, the local residents said that the promoters of this fraud scheme are only targeting illiterate poor and semi-literate rural women. The fake scheme promoters have used the name of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make believe them this scheme is registered.
Under the fraud scheme, they are promising to provide some items like soap, agarbattis, washing powder to the unemployed women and will be entrusted with the task of packing these items to be sold at government-sponsored outlets. In lieu of these services, an amount of Rs 5,000 will be credited to their bank accounts every month.
According to the sources, another field officer said that preliminary investigations suggest that agents of this scheme are part of a network whose kingpin is a woman from Baghpat. But we need to establish many other things, most importantly the extent of the fraud, before we move further.
