Uttar Pradesh Yogi Thali
After becoming Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath had made some announcements for the welfare of the state and its people. One of those announcements was to provide cheap food to the poor in the state on the lines of Amma Canteen of Chennai.
Allahabad’s Akhil Bhartiya Yuva Mahasabha’s district president, Dilip Arora, ‘Kake’ and some of his colleagues have started Yogi Thali together. This initiative at the private level can be a relief for the common man. Kake says that behind Yogi Thali, we have only one thought that a person should not sleep hungry. There is no starvation due to lack of money. Those who do not have the money, they will be able to eat food at just 10 rupees per meal. A token has been printed for the thali, on which slogan is written, ‘Change your thinking, society will change (आप सोच बदलिये, समाज बदलेगा’).
Yogi Thali has been started at Baba Ka Dhaba, near the Atarsuiya area of Allahabad. At presently, this food thali will not be available daily basis. Its day has been fixed. People can take advantage of this plate on this day. According to a newspaper, this plate will have enough food to fill a person’s stomach with ease. There can be lentils, rice, a vegetable, two tandoori roti or four kachoris, pickles and salads etc.
