The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has launched Uttarakhand Jan Awas Yojana on Thursday. The launching program was held in front of FCI godown located at Kichha Bypass Road. This ambitious scheme was launched for providing affordable housing to the poor people of EWS & LIG category.
On this occasion, By addressing the people CM Harish Rawat said that the state government has prepared this scheme by very hard work. He said that state government has made the path of regularization for the slums. Besides this, the distribution of ownership letter has been started in Dehradun. A fund of Rs.400 crore has been made for this. Rs.40 crore has been compiled for this year.
He said that keeping in mind the interests of the poor people of the land ruled by the government to give them ownership and made some changes in the law.
He said that keeping in view the interests of workers, the registration of about 1.72 lakh workers has been done. Many welfare schemes are being implemented for workers. Till now 62 thousand workers have been given the benefit of the scheme.
Cabinet Minister Yashpal Arya said that CM Rawat has launched an ambitious scheme of providing houses at affordable prices to the poor. In the coming days, the people of EWS & LIG category will get houses.
Former Health Minister Tilakraj Behad said that Chief Minister’s biggest concern is always the poor.
Under this scheme, 35 thousand housing will be constructed across the state. The selection process of beneficiaries will be done by the committee headed by DM. He said that in the first phase the target of allocating housing to 1500 to 2000 beneficiaries in Rudrapur has been set.
