Uttarakhand Govt. Signed MoU for Metro Rail Scheme in Dehradun
In the presence of Dehradun’s Chief Minister Harish Rawat, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Uttarakhand Housing and Town Development Authority on Tuesday. This MoU has been signed in Bijapur House Auditorium to prepare the DPR of Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun Metro Rail Scheme.
This MoU was signed by the Chief Administrator of Uttarakhand Housing and Town Development Authority R Minakshi Sundaram and the Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Somdutt Sharma.
For DPR, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will be provided an initial amount of 2.10 crore by the Uttarakhand Housing and Town Development Authority.
On this Occasion, CM Rawat said that Accessible resource will be provided to the urban population by the operation of Metro Rail between Haridwar, Rishikesh and Dehradun. He said that tourists keep coming in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Dehradun throughout the year. This scheme will benefit the local people and the tourist.
CM Rawat said that Metro Rail Scheme will be implemented in Vikasnagar, Kalsi and Jaspur, Kasipur, Rudrapur, Kiccha, Haldwani, kathgodam.
He said that by providing DPR to by the DMRC the way of collecting funds will be set out.
Secretary D.S Gabryal, United chief administrator of Uttarakhand Housing and Town Development Authority Banshidhar Tiwari, Director of MDDA Secretary Jitender Tyagi, DGM Rajshekhar, Engineers of UDA & MDDA were present on this Occasion.
