Akhilesh Government’s Kanya Vidya Yojana will take a new form in Yogi Raj. In place of Kanya Vidya Yojana, there is a proposal to start the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sarvandhan Yojana.
Under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sarvandhan Yojana, the government will give a lump sum of Rs 10000 to 100,000 meritorious girl students who pass high school. For the girl students who pass an Intermediate examination under the same Kanya Vidya Vidya Yojana, the amount of Rs.30,000 can be reduced to 20000 under the proposed new scheme.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma, a meeting was held on Monday to review the functioning of the Secondary and Higher Education Department in the Secretariat, giving a loan of Rs. 10000 to the grandmothers in one lakh, who passed the high school in one lakh.
Deputy Chief Minister directed Additional Chief Secretary Higher Secondary Education Sanjay Agarwal to make provision in the budget for this. The advantage of this scheme will be that the government will be able to please the meritorious students who have passed the high school by increasing their budget. According to sources, the benefit of the scheme will also be available to those students who pass the board board examination other than the UP board.
