Uttar Pradesh Government Likely to Introduce New Schemes in UP
After coming in form BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. UP government is expected to present its development proposal in its first cabinet meeting which will be held on Tuesday and Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi likely to introduce a couple of new schemes.
According to the sources, the cabinet meeting will be held at 5 pm on Tuesday. Under the meeting, the government will focus on farm loan waiver. However, the farm loan amount is around Rs 62,000 crore government may give a partial farmer loan waiver to around 1.5 crore farmers.
According to the officials, the government can bring a policy whereby loans of a certain period on Kisan Credit Card (KCC) can be waived. Also, cooperative bank loans up to Rs 50000 can also be waived off.
Along with other decisions, the UP government could change the name of Samajwadi Ambulance Scheme and Samajwadi Pension Scheme. However, both schemes are jointly funded by the Central and State government but the government will stop its share just because of the name ‘Samajwadi’ being attached to it.
The cabinet meeting is likely to clear the name of new advocate general for UP. Besides, Cabinet may also take an important decision for reserving 90 percent seats in certain departments for youths who are domicile of UP.
In the cabinet meeting, other important decisions to be discussed to clear cane dues of farmers which are around Rs 6200 crore.
