Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has canceled the Samajwadi Smartphone scheme of the Akhilesh government earlier. According to sources, the authorities have been instructed to cancel the plan.
The Akhilesh Government of UP launched this Samajwadi Smartphone scheme in December last year. According to the news, about 1.4 Crore people have applied for the scheme so far. The goal was to give smartphones to 5 lakh people.
The benefit of this scheme was to be given to those students whose age is more than 18 years old, 10th passed and the income of the family is less than five lakhs.
Earlier on 7th April, the Yogi Sarkar removed ‘Samajwadi’ words in the name of more than a dozen government schemes.
Samajwadi Ambulance Service, Samajwadi Smart Plan, Samajwadi Pension Scheme, Samajwadi Health Insurance Scheme, Samajwadi Salt Distribution Plan, Samajwadi Kisan Bima Yojna, Samajwadi Youth Sworn Scheme, Samajwadi Handloom Weavers Pension, among the schemes of the Akhilesh government that were removed in the name of Planning, Samajwadi Employment Scheme, Samajwadi Housing Scheme and Samajwadi Rickshaw Scheme.
In the third cabinet meeting of the Yogi Government, the government decided that names of Agra and Gorakhpur Airport will be changed. 8 proposals, including crop insurance and e-tendering, were stamped in this meeting. Now the Pradhan Mantri Insurance Scheme will be implemented in two years.
Agra Airport will be named Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Airport while Gorakhpur Airport will be named after Gorakshpeeth. 12 new agricultural science centers will be opened in the Department of Agriculture. Apart from this, the government has decided to buy potato from the farmers.
