The Chhattisgarh Government has started the Universal Health Scheme for providing the benefits of free healthcare facilities to the people of the state. Recently, the Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdev announced that the benefits of this healthcare scheme will be provided to the people of the state from this October.

Under this scheme, the state government will provide free of cost treatment and free medicine. He said that under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the amount till September is deposited with the insurance company. For the said period, the Chhattisgarh government will ensure the implementation of Universal Health Scheme in all the departments from sub-health centers to large hospitals.

As soon as the Congress government was formed in Chhattisgarh, the schemes started by the central government and the previous state government are being to end. Instead of these schemes, the state government is going to launch other schemes.

The state government is now preparing to close the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and smart card launched by the Central Government. It is being argued that treatment is being denied the treatment by the doctors on fixed rates for various diseases in this scheme.

The Chhattisgarh Government has decided to end the Ayushman Bharat Yojana of Central Government. Instead of this, the Chhattisgarh Government is going to start Universal Health Scheme. Health Minister TS Singhdev said in this matter that the Ayushman Bharat Scheme is an insurance plan in which the output is low and the cost is high. The state government is going to launch a scheme which would be ready in lesser expenditure than Ayushman Bharat Yojana. At the same time, the state government is also preparing to eliminate the obligation of the card in the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana.
