UJALA Scheme – 3100 LED Lamps Distributed in Lohit District Arunachal Pardesh
On 23 April 2017, LED Lamps were distributed in Lohit district, Arunachal Pradesh under the Central Government’s ambitious scheme UJALA.
A total number of 3100 lamps (9W) were distributed to needy homes across the Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) in the second phase of distribution of such lamps under the flagship program of the central government.
This scheme was firstly launched in the state in Lohit on April 10 by Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf.
There is a huge demand for the energy-efficient appliances in the district and we are striving to fulfill it through EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Ltd), the central government agency, which has been entrusted to procure and provide the appliances to the State Nodal Agencies, informed Project Officer, APEDA, Tezu AK Rana.
