Telangana Single Women Pension Scheme for Every Woman of Family
Telangana Cheif Minister KC Rao has introduced a new scheme for the welfare of poor women of the every family by providing a monthly pension of Rs.1,000. This scheme is specially launched for those women whose annual income is less than 2 lakhs and the scheme will be implemented by the upcoming month of April.
According to the reports, this announcement was made by the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the State Assembly on Yesterday 6th January 2017. He said that poverty inflicts more misery among women than men. Hence they have decided to give a monthly pension of 1,000 to those women.

Allocation in Budget
The funds for the scheme will be allocated by the government in the ensuing State budget in March. CM KC Rao added that they are instructing district collectors to start registering details of single women eligible for the pension. We are also requesting all legislators to get eligible women enrolled under the scheme.
CM Rao said that pensions are already being given to aged people, differently-abled persons and widows by the government under Asara scheme as promised in the TRS election manifesto. He said that a scheme to provide ₹1,000 as monthly pension to women beedi workers is also under implementation.
Several schemes such as Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes etc. had been launched by the government to meet the wedding expenses of girls.
Thousands of families have received 51,000 as financial assistance under these schemes.
