Telangana Free Coaching Scheme – 100 Minority Students Selected
The State Government of Telangana has announced that it will sponsor 100 minority meritorious students from its ambitious scheme ‘Telangana Free Coaching Scheme’.
Details of Telangana Free Coaching Scheme
The state government would sponsor the coaching for preparation of civil service examination at the reputed coaching centers.
Besides this, the Telangana Government would also provide financial support and hostel facilities to the selected, eligible and needy students.
About 100 minority students have been selected by the state government for the 2018 civil service examination. In order to select or identify the real beneficiaries of the scheme, a committee was organized by the Telangana Government for the selection and the identification of the five best institutions in Hyderabad on the basis of proven track record, infrastructure, faculty and other elements. The selected students have been given the option to choose the institute of their choice.

Objectives of the Scheme
The main motto of Telangana Free Coaching Scheme is to provide an opportunity to minority students and develop their living standard. Through this scheme, a good candidate can become a civil servant and impart their skill to serve the country.
Benefits of the Scheme
- Under the Telangana Free coaching Scheme, the state government provides incentives worth Rs. 5000 to the rural students and Rs. 2500 to the urban students.
- Besides this, the hostel facility to Muslim students who are selected to take the benefit of free coaching is also provided by the state government.
Highlights of the Scheme
Telangana Government has decided this decision in consultation with the Minority and Welfare Department of Telangana. The Department has conceived a novel scheme to provide free coaching for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Last year, in civil services exam, around 75 students were qualified from the two Telugu states. The free coaching scheme would encourage more students for next session to take benefit of the scheme.
