UJALA scheme – The Punjab Ministry of Power’s Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has launched the Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) scheme here in the city.
UJALA Scheme – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has distributed about 50000 Led Bulbs, tube lights and fans at a subsidies rates as energy saving effort under Ujala scheme. The GHMC has done this distribution in coordination with the Energy Efficiency Services Limited with the help of Self Help Groups women (SHGs).
On 23 April 2017, LED Lamps were distributed in Lohit district, Arunachal Pradesh under the Central Government’s ambitious scheme UJALA.
The State Government of Odisha and Energy Department in association with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has successfully distributed over one crore LED bulbs in Odisha under the Central Government’s UJALA Scheme (Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for all). The state has achieved the milestone within a year of launching the program on the same date last year.
On 14 April, the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Power Minister Piyush Goel will launch Centre’s ‘UJALA Scheme (Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances)’ for the state.
The UJALA scheme is an Energy Efficient Scheme which was launched by the Prime Minister of India on January 5th, 2015 with a target of replacing 77 crore inefficient bulbs with Energy Efficient LED Bulbs. At present, over 20.83 crore LED bulbs, over 4.47 lakh LED tube lights and over 2.88 lakh energy efficient fans have been distributed and 16.53 lakh LED street lights have already been replaced in the country.
The Prime Minister of India Shri Narender Modi had launched the UJALA scheme on January 5, 2015. This scheme is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power and the implementation agency for all the energy efficiency programs of the Government of India.
