PM Ujjwala Yojana – The one of the Central Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is known to be one of the successful schemes. After achieving a valuable target this year i.e 2.5 crore gas connection distributed under the scheme, the central government is now plans to open about 6000 new gas agencies across the nation in the upcoming months.

The Central Government of India has launched its ambitious scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’ in the tribal-dominated Dahod district, Gujarat state on 15 may. It was inaugurated by the BJP chief Amit Shah and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
On Saturday, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Assam (PMUY). Dharmendra Pradhan said that the Centre will give a support of Rs 1,600 per connection within March, 2019 and Assam government will also provide Rs 1,000 per PMUY connection to the beneficiaries, which shall make LPG connection more affordable.

In order to promote the Central Government’s ambitious initiative to boost domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) consumption, the public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) are considering to make about 6,500 new distribution centers for PM Ujjwala Yojana.
On Tuesday, the Haryana Chief Miniter Manohar Lal Khattar Announced that with the state becoming kerosene-free from April 1, the Haryana government would issue 13,000 LPG connections to the poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana within the next two days. This announcement was made at the concluding day of the two-day state executive meeting of the BJP Karnal on Tuesday.
The Maharashtra Cheif Minister Devendra Fadnavis has distributed Free LPG Gas Connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) during a function which was held on Friday at Kasturchand Park. Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari will preside over the function.
