The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is an ambitious housing scheme launched by the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi. PM Awas Yojana was launched in the year 2015 by the Hon’ble PM Narender Modi. During the launching of the scheme, a target of constructing about 2 Crore housing units for the poor homeless people of the nation.
Under this scheme, the poor homeless people of the nation who are living in mud houses of single or more rooms will be provided an assistance of Rs. 1.20 Lakh for the construction of their dream home. Besides this, they will also be given an amount of Rs. 12,000 for the construction of Toilet under ‘Swccha Bharat Abhiyaan’.
