Saranya Self Employment Scheme – The Kerala Government has launched the Saranya scheme for providing self-employment to the women of the state. The main motive of the state government behind launching this scheme is to uplift the backward and segregated women like widows, divorced women, deserted women, spinsters above the age of 30 and unwedded mothers of Scheduled Tribe. Under this self-employment scheme, the state government provides an interest-free bank loan of up to Rs. 50,000 to the eligible and needy women of the state.

Kerala Life Mission Affordable Housing Scheme – The Kerala Government has made an announcement of constructing more than 5.13 lakh affordable housing units under the state government’s Affordable Housing Scheme (Kerala Life Mission)/Kerala Life Mission Affordable Housing Scheme. According to the state government, these housing units will be provided to the homeless and needy people for free of cost. The state government also stated that each house constructed under the scheme will measure over 500 square meter in dimension. Kerala Free Lifetime Cancer Treatment Scheme – The Cochin Cancer Research Center (CCRC) has all set to launch the Free Lifetime Cancer Treatment Scheme for providing cancer treatment facility to every eligible and needy family throughout the state. Under this scheme, all the interested and eligible applicants of the state can register by paying a certain amount and cover the whole family for cancer treatment. After that, if any family member of the registered applicant’s family needs the cancer treatment, it will be given free of cost.
केरल आवाज़ स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना – केरल सरकार प्रवासी श्रमिकों के लिए “आवाज़ स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना” के नाम से एक स्वास्थ्य योजना शुरू करने जा रही है। केरल सरकार इस योजना को जल्द ही ऑनलाइन आवेदन शुरू करेगी। आवाज़ स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना के अंतर्गत, प्रवासी श्रमिकों को 15,000 रूपये प्रति स्वास्थ्य बीमा पर लाभ प्राप्त होगा और 2,00,000 रूपए मृत्यु बीमा के तहत मिलेगा। इस योजना के साथ, सरकार और प्रवासी मजदूरों के बायोमेट्रिक डेटा को रिकॉर्ड में रखा जा सकता है।
Kerala Awaz Health Insurance Scheme – The Kerala Government is going to launch “Awaz Health Insurance Scheme” for migrant workers and soon the Kerala Government will invite online applications for this scheme. Under the Awaz Health Insurance Scheme, migrant workers will receive Rs.15,000 per health insurance benefit and Rs.2,00,000 under death insurance per year. Along with this scheme, the government and the biometric data of migrant laborers can be kept in record.

The Kerala State Government introduced a new scheme named ‘Educational Assistance to Children of Women Headed Families‘ to help women headed families of the state.
The State Government of Kerala has introduced a new scheme named ‘Thalolam Scheme’ to provide free treatment to the children of the state. This scheme was implemented on 1 January 2010 by the Social Justice Department in Kerala.
On Monday, Kerala Finance Minister Mr. T M Thomas Issac informed the assembly that the government has no plans to abandon Karunya Health Scheme, conceived and implemented by the previous UDF government.
