Samajwadi Namak Vitran Yojana in Ten Districts of Uttar Pradesh


The state government of Uttar Pradesh has launched Samajwadi Namak Vitran Yojana as a pilot project in 10 districts of UP. Speaking at the launch of the iron and iodized salt CM Akhilesh said, “Our government is constantly trying to maintain good works.

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi,the Chief Minister said that there is no loss to the rich, who is keeping the black money, only poor are disturbing.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Akhilesh said that the health of future generations to be better, it is the responsibility of our government. Socialists will try to improve the state of health of people and their education.

Informed that around 60,000 metric tons salt will be distributed in the 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Siddharth, Moradabad, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Hamirpur, Faizabad, Santkabirnagar and Mau.

The state government is giving a grant of Rs. 48.52 crore for this every year. About 46.02 lakh ration card holders, who will take advantage of it.

The 32, 59,000 BPL and Antyodaya card holders will be given Rs 3 per kg salt. The APL card holders will be Rs 6 per kg of salt.

According to the National Family Health Survey, 50 percent of pregnant women in the state now affected by the disease of anemia. However, nearly 73 percent of 6 to 59 months children are also affected. In addition, 24 percent under 20 years of age are affected.
