RTE Online Admission Last Date to be Extended – The admission process of the students in private schools under RTE Act (Right to Education Act) has been delayed throughout the country. Due to not opening the website of the RTE portal, students are not able to fill RTE Online Admission Forms.
Website is Not Opening
Like every year, admission in these schools was also to be taken under RTE this year. The education department had made a change in the RTE Admission Process and sought online application for RTE Online Admissions.
Students were reaching the Choice Center to fill the online application form to get admission in private schools under the RTE, but they were returned by saying, the day the website is not working or opening.
Students are Sad
Admission was scheduled from April 14 to April 30. Hundreds of children have not been able to fill the online form due to not opening the website till the last date. Students are disappointed because of not opening the website till the last date.
The education department is playing with the future of students. Saraypali councilor Hardeep Singh Raina said that about 33 students and students of his ward are constantly taking rounds the Choice centers to get admission under RTE. The application was not available till the last date. It is notable that in private schools, 25 percent seats are filled under the Right to Education Act. Their fees is borne by the government.
221 Private Schools Operated in the District
There are 221 private schools operated from nursery to higher secondary education in the district. These schools had registered for online admission under the RTE this year. Since April 14, the process of filling the online form has also started, but due to not opening the website of the RTE portal, the child is unable to fill the form. It is to be known that last year the admission of about 130 children under the RTE was done. More than 8000 children in the district are undergoing education under RTE.

BL Kurre of District Education Officer said that children are not able to fill the form because of not opening the website of the RTE portal. The last date of April 30 has been fixed by the department, but due to the problem, the RTE Online Admission Last Date will be extended.
