Revision of Pension to Meritorious Sportspersons  – There is a good news from the sports ministry for the players. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore has approved the upward revision of pension to the meritorious players. It has been decided to double the pension amount of players who have won medals at the international level.
Revision of Pension to Meritorious Sportspersons

Under this new scheme, the medal winner will get Rs 20,000 in Olympics / Para-Olympic Games, while the gold medal winner will get Rs 16,000 in World Cup / World Championships in the World Cup of Olympics and Asian Games. In the Olympic Games, medal winners were getting 10,000 rupees per month, whereas in the World Cup of the Olympic and Asian Games, gold medal winners were getting Rs 8,000 per month in the World Cup / World Championship.

Gold medal winner in the World Cup / World Championship / Silver / bronze medal winner and Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / Para Asian Games will now get Rs 14,000 from the 7,000 rupees per month.

Silver and bronze medal winners in Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / Para Asian Games will get Rs. 12,000. The pensions of medal winners in paragraph Olympic Games and Para Asian Games will be equal to medal winners in the Olympic Games and Asian Games respectively.
