ReUnite App – The Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Shri Suresh Prabhu launched a mobile app. The name of this app is ‘ReUnite App’. This app will assist in detecting and finding lost children in India. In his address on this occasion, the Minister appreciated the NGO ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ and ‘Capgemini’ to develop this app.
Details of ReUnite App, the Lost Children Finding App
The ReUnite word means “Punamilan Karana (पुनर्मिलन करना)” which itself describes about it that it will meet the lost children and his parents again. The ReUnite App is a Lost Children Finding app on which both parents and citizens who find a lost child can upload the details of the child through which the child can be identified by the parents.
Features of ReUnite App, the Lost Children Finding App
- Through this app, parents can upload pictures of children, details of children such as name, address, birth sign etc.
- This allows parents to report to the police station and identify lost children.
- Services such as Amazon Recognition, Web based Facial Recognition are being used to identify lost children.
- This app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
During the launching program, the Minister said that this effort to meet the lost children to their parents shows the beautiful use of technology. This app will help you deal with life’s social challenges.
Details of Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) – बचपन बचाओ आंदोलन
The Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) is the biggest movement in India in terms of safety of children. BBA has played an important role in law-building related to the protection of children’s rights. This movement started with the Nithari case of 2006. On this occasion, Nobel Award Winner and founder of the Bachpan Bachao Andolan Shri Kailash Satyarthi was also present.
