Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana – Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivandra Singh Rawat and Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thavarchand Gehlot distributed life support equipment to 450 elderly people of Haridwar area under the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana in Rishikul Maidan Haridwar on Monday.

Union Minister Thavarchand Gehlot as Chief Guest and Chief Minister distributed equipment to a large number of beneficiaries like things like ear machines, glasses, stick and wheelchairs.
On this occasion, Union Minister Thavarchand Gehlot said that the government is constantly taking plans for the elderly and the people of the country. He said that 207 districts have been selected across the country, out of which Haridwar is one, in which 416 people have been given equipment of Rs. 1800000. 45,000 people have been provided this tool by organizing 18 camps across the country.
On this occasion CM Trivedendra Singh Rawat also admitted that the scheme of the central government is very beneficial for the beneficiaries. This scheme is a resort for the elderly people. This scheme is not only for one time but next time more people will be selected for this scheme.
The Union Minister said in the last four years, more than 600 crores worth of material has been distributed to 11 lakh people and seven thousand camps have been organized across the country.
The Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana was started last year, in which 260 districts of the country have been selected. Under this scheme, 43,000 elderly people have been provided equipment according to their needs. More than 80 percent of the people are being provided motorized Tri-cycle. So far, five thousand five thousand eligible people have been given motorized Tri-cycle.
