Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan

On the Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the central government is going to launch Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on 14 April 2018 to 5 May 2018. On this occasion, the government will spread awareness about government schemes Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The main objective of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan is to give awareness about government schemes and how can they take the benefits of these government schemes. Besides, the government will also celebrate Panchayati Raj Divas on 24 April 2018. However, this programme will start from rural areas where a large number of people belongs to the SC and ST community. During this programme, the ministers will spend one night with Dalits. They will actually feel the daily life problems of Dalit families and their condition.

Under this Abhiyan, the government has decided to spend one night with Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) majority in their villages. During this programme, the government will understand the problems of SC and ST sections especially Dalits. In this programme, the ministers will explain about government welfare schemes which are specially launched for poor people and how can they take the benefit of these schemes.

The central government wants to improve their living their status by providing the benefits of the all government scheme which specially launched for them. However, the government is already running its most ambitious schemes Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana for providing Free LPG Gas Connection to the BPL families, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Free Health Care Facility and Insurance Facilities. The government will run a door to door campaign to create awareness where no anyone will deprive from the benefits of these schemes.
