National Child Health Program Scheme / Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram Yojana (RBSK), Free Health Checkup Scheme for Children upto 18 Years Old, Read out the Complete Details of the Scheme.
The Central Health Department has launched “National Child Health Program Scheme / Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram Yojana”. Under this health scheme, the central government will provide the facilities for a free check-up. This benefits of free checkup will are provided to a total number of 8074 children upto 18 years of age. Besides this, this facility will be availed by the eligible ones from the Anganwadi and Government schools.
Apart from this, the central government has also established 5 School Mobile Health teams in order to treat these children’s checkup. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Sumit Jarangal.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sukhpal Singh said that under the National Child Health Program Scheme, 30 different diseases are treated free of cost to handle the health of children. Children are subjected to jamadaru loss, physical shortcomings in children, delay in physical development and disability, heart diseases and lack of blood.
Children enrolled in Anganwadi Centers, children of the first and 12th class of government and government-aided schools are treated with the checkup by mobile health teams. He said that under this scheme, 5 schools of the district are visited by the school by mobile health teams at schools once a year at Anganwadi centers twice a year.
Children who are found to be suffering from serious illnesses are treated by the government in large hospitals. Civil Surgeon told that under this scheme, free medicines of urine and folic acid are being taken every Wednesday to fulfill the lack of blood in children.
