Rajasthan Annapurna Dudh Yojana – On the lines of ‘Annapurna Rasoi Yojana’, the Rajasthan Government has now announced to launch ‘Annapurna Dudh Yojana’. The state government is going to launch Annapurna Dudh Yojana from July 2 for the students studying in all government schools in the state. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will inaugurate this important scheme at the state level. Initially, this scheme will be applicable to children up to Class 8. After review, it can also be extended to the remaining four classes.
200 ML Milk to Students Under Annapurna Dudh Yojana
Keeping in view the nutrition of children studying in state government schools, this scheme is being started. Under this special scheme, the state government will provide 150 ML milk to the children from class 1 to 5. Besides this, the state government will provide 00 ml milk to the students from class 6 to 8 everyday day.
School management committees will administer milk distribution. An appeal has been made to Bhamashahs in this scheme to provide nutrition through milk to children studying in schools.
Over 80,000 Government Schools in Rajasthan
Under this scheme, about 75 percent of the students studying in nearly 85 lakh government schools have been included. The scheme is starting from 1st class to 8th standard. About 85 lakh students are studying up to class 12 in the state. Today there are more than 80 thousand government schools in the state.
Rajasthan Mid Day Meal Yojana for Lunch
However, under the Mid Day Meal Scheme in the entire state, the children studying in government schools are given mid-day meals. As a part of this scheme, children from class I to 5th are given lunch for 6 days in a week.
