Punjab Shagun Scheme – The Punjab Government has launched its new Shagun Scheme which is also called Ashirwad Scheme. This is a welfare scheme which is specially launched for girls marriage in the state. Besides, the government will also provide financial assistance to the victims of acid attacks. The government has also changed its name into the Ashirwad Scheme.

Punjab Shagun Scheme / Aashirwad Scheme [UPDATE ]

According to the scheme, the state government will increase the financial amount up to the Rs. 51,000/-. The government will provide the benefit of the scheme to the poor people who belong to the minority community and scheduled caste. Currently, the government has increased the scheme amount from Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 21,000/- under Ashirwad Scheme.

However, the state government of Punjab has launched this scheme with an objective to provide financial help to the poor people who can not afford the marriage expence of their daughter. So the government has decided to provide an amount of Rs. 21,000/- as a financial help to the poor families for their daughter marriage. Only those girls will get the benefit of this scheme who has completed her age of 18 years.  Along with this, the government will also provide financial help to the women victims of acid attacks under its Punjab Financial Assistance to Acid Victims Scheme 2017. As per the scheme, an amount of Rs. 8000/- will be given to the women victims of acid attacks. This scheme will be implemented by the Department of Social Security and Development of Women and Children.

How to Apply for Punjab Shagun Scheme / Aashirwad Scheme

Online Mode – 

  1. If you want to apply for this scheme visit its official website of Punjab – i.e. http://punjab.gov.in/eform/login.xhtml
  2. New Users will have to create their user id and password for login on the portal.
  3. After login on the portal you can update your profile.
  4. After the completion of registrationn process click “Fresh Application” link to fill online application form.
  5.  After that select the department wise service list. After that select your service for which you want to apply and then click on “Apply” link.
  6. After fill all the details click on “Submit” button.
  7. You can also view you saved application details by clicking on “View Saved Application” link.
  8. Upload the supporting documents on link of “Upload Supporting Documents” button.

Offline Mode –

  1. If you want to apply for this scheme visit its official website of Punjab – i.e. http://punjab.gov.in/eform/login.xhtml
  2. New Users will have to create their user id and password for login on the portal.
  3. After login on the portal you can update your profile.
  4. After the completion of registrationn process click “Fresh Application” link to fill online application form.
  5.  After that select the department wise service list. After that select your service for which you want to apply and then click on “Apply” link.
  6. To download the application form go to the Alternative 1(Offline Form application) section and click on Form Name to download the e-Form.
  7. You can fill the e-Form in offline mode.
  8. After fill the complete application form go to the Alternative 1 (Offline Form application) section and click on “Click here to upload the filled form” link.
  9. And finally brows the filled e-Form and click on “Add” button.
