Pradhan Mantri Yojana 2019: Finally, the central government has approved the extension of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana along with other schemes Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana and Pension Scheme for shopkeepers, retailers and self-employed businessmen. In the second inning of NDA government, Jawan and Kisan will be the first priority of the country.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana – Pradhan Mantri Yojana 2019
According to the decision, now 14.5 crore farmers will be benefited under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana. This plan will cost Rs 87,000 crore in a year. Previously, about 12 crore farmers were to be benefited in this scheme, but now it has been increased up to 14.5 crores farmers.
The scheme was to provide an amount of Rs. 6000/- per year in 3 different instalments of Rs. 2000/- to the Marginal and Small farmers who have land up to 2 hectares or below. But now this condition has removed and now all the farmers will be benefited under this scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Scheme –
In addition to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, the Government is introducing Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana for the farmers. Under this scheme, the small and marginal farmers will get a fixed monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60 years.
In the first three years of the first phase, at least 5 crore marginal and small farmers will be benefited. The scheme will cost Rs 10,774.5 crores annually. It will be a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for small and marginal farmers across the country. In this, farmers of 18 to 40 years of age can contribute.
Besides this, all the shopkeepers, self-employed people and retailers will also be benefited in this scheme. As per the decision, the retailers and shopkeepers will be given a minimum monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60 years. About 3 crore retailers, shopkeepers and self-employed people will be benefited from this. About 5 crore shoppers are expected to join this scheme in the upcoming next 3 years.
Only those shopkeepers, self-employed people and retailers can join this scheme, who are under the age of 18 to 40 years and yearly business turnover is less than 1.5 crore.
Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme
The government has also approved for major changes in Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme under the National Defense Fund. The government will enhance the scholarship to the children of policemen who were martyred in terror or militant attacks.
According to the scheme, the martyr’s children scholarship amount has been increased from Rs 2,000/- to Rs 2,500/- per month for boys while Rs 2,250 for girls for Rs 3,000 per month.
The state policemen are also been included who were martyred in terror or terror attacks. The limit of the scholarship scheme has also been increased for the children of state policemen. Besides, the quota of the scholarship scheme for children of state policemen will be 500 in a year.
