National Nutrition Mission For Women – Finally, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch “National Nutrition Mission बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ” in Jhunjhunu Rajasthan on the occasion of “International Women Day” on 08 March 2018. Along with this, the Central Government will implement “Beti Bacho Beti Padhao” scheme in all over India. The Central Government is launching this scheme especially for the health care of women and their children.
National Nutrition Mission Objective – राष्ट्रीय पोषण मिशन उद्देश्य
The main objective of this scheme is to create awareness among the women for their health. In this scheme, the government will provide healthcare for women and their children. The government will work to reduce the rate of dwarfism, low nutrition, blood deficiency and low-weight children.
National Nutrition Mission Benefit
According to the scheme, more than 10 crore people will be benefitted by this programme. All the States and districts will be covered in a phased manner i.e. 315 districts in 2017-18, 235 districts in 2018-19 and remaining districts in 2019-20.
Beti Bacho Beti Padhao Yojana – बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ योजना
However, the Beti Bachao Yojana is currently implemented in only 161 districts of the country, which is now being extended in 640 districts. Under this scheme, Jhunjhunun and Sikar of Rajasthan have become the best performing district in the country in terms of sex ratio. In order to honor this achievement, this program has been organized in Jhunjhunu.
Apart from this, the best performers in the country are Raigarh (Maharashtra), Sonepat (Haryana), Haidarabad (Telangana), Bijapur (Karnataka), Tarntaran (Punjab), Udhampur (Jammu Kashmir), Ahmedabad (Gujarat) and North Sikkim (Sikkim). The first 10 districts have been declared. All the districts have been honored by the Prime Minister in the program of Jhunjhunu.
Finally, with the help of National Nutrition Mission, the government will work to reduce the level of stunting, under-nutrition, anemia and low birth weight babies. It will create awareness among the women about their health.
