Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Delhi: Govt. to Launch Soon PMAY Scheme in Delhi
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Delhi: Good news for the residents of Delhi under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Delhi, the way of making houses for the urban poor has now become clear. Now the construction of houses for urban poor in Delhi will be done by DDA and Delhi State Urban Housing Shelter Board.
This information was given by the Urban Development Minister Mr. Venkaiah Naidu. Besides, he also approved the relaxation in certain conditions for the construction of a house in Delhi. It is expected that after this decision, the shortage of about two and a half lakh houses will be completed.
According to the Urban Development Ministry, nearly 18 lakh houses have been approved for construct under this scheme across the country, but till now no house has been approved for Delhi. The reason was that no such proposal was received by the Delhi Government. Recently, a meeting was also held between Lt Governor of Delhi and officers of the departments regarding this issue.
It was decided in this meeting that the DDA and DSUB houses were built for the help of K2D government for this housing scheme. Under this scheme, the central government gives assistance amount per house rate.
Sources said after this decision, DDA and DSUIB will sign agreements with the central government. After that, they will be able to build houses.
