PM Modi Launched Aadhar Based Mobile App ‘BHIM’ for Easy Payment

On Friday (30 December), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an Aadhar based mobile payment app ‘BHIM (India interfaces for-money)’. Bhim is an upgraded form of government’s old UPI (unified payment interface) and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data). PM informed that the app will also work without the Internet.

The Prime Minister announced this during a program of Digi Dhan Fair program at Delhi Talktora. The Prime Minister has also announced the names of the winners of Lucky Grahak Yojana. Modi inaugurated the Bhim app by shopping from Khadi Village Industry. Bhim app can be downloaded from the Android App Store. It is believed that these apps will take place of the plastic cards and POS (point of sale) machines and will contribute to the cash-less transactions.
Let’s Know How BHIM App Works
-Traders must have to download the BHIM app on your smartphone. The app will be linked to a biometric reader whose price is Rs 2,000 in the market. Customer will fill their aadhar number and bank name in the app. Then consumers can use the biometric scan of the password to pay.
The entity making Aadhaar Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) CEO Ajay Bhushan informed that the app will be able to pay without any phone. Pandey said that 40 crore Aadhaar cards have been added to the bank accounts. The government has a set a target of linking all Aadhar to all the bank accounts by March 2017.
The Prime Minister said that the app is named after Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
Go to the Google Play Store app to download or click on this link. Download and Install the app on the smartphone. Then open the app and login with your mobile number registered with the bank. Then the money can be invited or can be sent via this app. The app can be downloaded by clicking on this link. (
