PM Awas Yojana Chhattisgarh – 6.23 Lakh Homeless Families got Home
Dr. Raman Singh, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Reviewing the development works of Raipur and Balodabazar-Batapara and informed that there are about 11 lakh homeless families in Chattisgarh as per survey out of which 6.23 lakh families had been provided an affordable housing unit under Central Government’s ambitious scheme ‘PM Awas Yojana Chhattisgarh’.

Raman Singh said that the survey should be conducted in the slums (Jhuggies). He said that the affordable housing units allotted according to the population.
Singh opened that thousands of ration cards had been provided during the ‘Lok Suraj’ campaign. New names had been added. CM said that ration material should be provided to the new beneficiaries from next month.
When reviewing the National Health Insurance and Chief Minister Health Insurance Project, Raman said that the Health Insurance money will be increased to Rs 50 thousand by our Government from the month of July.
Likely, people of older age would be given an additional medical assistance of Rs 30 thousand under the National Health Insurance Scheme. Special camps will be held from July for adding the names of missing persons in the Smart Card list. He also instructed the officials to provide Caste Certificates to the students so that they do not suffer for any benefits.
CM Singh said that the Raipur city is fast developing into a Smart City and Smart Capital. Some major steps should be taken in order to keep the capital clean and green. Officials are also instructed by him to prepare an Integrated Action Plan to tackle drinking water supply system and to treat the drainage water in the capital.
