The state government of Delhi has come up with a new financial assistance scheme for the school-level sports talent of the state. The name of this scheme is Play & Progress Scheme Delhi. Under this scheme, the state government will provide Rs. 2 Lakh and R. 3 Lakh assistance per year to the students of age less than 14 Years and 14 to 17 years respectively for participating in national-international tournaments. This financial assistance will be provided to the students for their training and coaching.

Details & Benefts Of Play & Progress Scheme Delhi

The Delhi Government has launched the Play & Progress Scheme Delhi for finding sports talent from schools of the state. Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 2 Lakh per year to the students having age upto 14 years for their training and coaching for participating in National – International Sports Tournaments. Apart from this, the state government will also provide Rs. 3 Lakh assistance per year to the students having age between 14 and 17 years. Besides this, students having age upto 17 years are eligible for the specialized sports training at designated centers.

How to Apply Online for Play & Progress Scheme Delhi

All the eligible students having age upto 17 years who have sports talent can apply online for this scheme for availing the benefits of upto 3 lakh Rupees per year for training and coaching. For this, follow the simple steps given below –

Firstly, visit the Official Website of Directorate Of Education, Delhi Government (Link is Given Below in Important Links Section)
On the Homepage, click on “Sports” link given at top menu
After that, click on “Application Proforma for “MISSION EXCELLENCE” and “PLAY & PROGRESS” link
Then, click on “Open Page” given beside “Application Form For Financial Assistance Under Play & Progress Part-A”
After that Play & Progress Scheme Delhi Online Application will appear on your screen.
Fill out this application form carefully.
Upload your Passport Size Photograph and Budget Estimate of the Sportsperson
After that, submit the application form.

Note – This scheme is only for those sportspersons who are a permanent resident of Delhi for 3 years minimum.
