Odisha Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana – The Odisha Government has come up with a free laptop distribution scheme for the meritorious students of the state named “Odisha Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana “. Under this scheme, the Odisha Government will provide free laptops to meritorious students of the state who have successfully cleared annual Plus Two examinations in various streams. The state government will implement this free laptop distribution scheme from December 31 this year.
Odisha Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana – 15,000 Students Will Get Free Laptop
Under the Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana Odisha, the state government will provide free laptops to a total number of 15,000 meritorious students in 12th Class examination. The government will release the list of beneficiary students in July.
Relatives Can Also Receive Laptops
According to the revised guidelines of the Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana, the relatives of the selected students can also receive the laptops in case of their absence during the programme. For this, the relatives will have to inform the authorities about the reason of their absence through a letter signed by the chairmen of the concerned colleges. Apart from this, it is necessary to submit the identity proofs of the relatives who would receive the laptops.
Monitoring of Odisha Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana – Laptop Distribution Process
The District Collector headed committee will monitor the Laptop Distribution Process within the scheduled period of time. Besides this, the state government has also set up 30 nodal centers for laptop distribution.
If List Don’t Contain Your Name Then Lodge A Complaint
The IT Department will send the laptops to the nodal centres. If students have any issue regarding the list i.e. list don’t contain their name then they can lodge complaint with the college authorities. If the student’s query proved to be true then the student’s name can be added to a supplementary list.
The Odisha Higher Education Department has written a letter to the 822 Degree Colleges and 29 Autonomous Colleges in which the department has directed the colleges to provide the laptops to the students in the supplementary by January 31, 2019.
The Officers at the Nodal Centres will verify the certificates of the students before distribution of laptops.
