The State Government of Bihar has launched many ambitious and welfare schemes for the citizens of different categories of the state. Here is the complete list of the schemes launched by the state government of Bihar in 2017
Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana (Bihar)
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana in Lakhisarai to provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 for students of the state. Under this scheme, the students who will pass 10th class with 1st division will be benefited by the government.
UJALA Scheme Bihar
The Prime Minister of India Shri Narender Modi had launched the UJALA scheme on January 5, 2015. This scheme is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power
and the implementation agency for all the energy efficiency programs of the Government of India.
Bihar Bicycle Yojana
On Friday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by highlighted that the bicycle yojana has given “wings to aspirations of girls”, he said that the scheme has dramatically boosted enrolment of girls in Class IX, which has come almost at par with the boys.

The state government has introduced a new security pension scheme named ‘Rajya Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana’ for the providing an assistance in form of pension to the widows, disabled, helpless and bonded laborers aged over 60 years of the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar has launched a new welfare scheme named ‘Mukhya Mantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana’ to provide financial benefits to the girls of the state.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Bihar
Urban Development and Housing Department has released the second list for providing permanent housing facility for poor who are living in slums. Samastipur and Dalsinghsaray have also been included in this list. The process of providing housing for all has been started. Under the scheme Rs. 2 Lakh will be provided to the each beneficiary by the civic body by conducting a camp.
Bihar Free Wifi Scheme
Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar announced to provide Free Wifi Service across the state for the education purpose. According to the announcement the facility of free wifi in colleges and universities will be started by the month of February 2017.
