Naidu Launches Scheme to make Rajasthan Villages Open Defecation Free


Yesterday, the Union Minister (MHUPA) Shri M Venkaiah Naidu launched a new scheme in Rajasthan to make villages open defecation free.

In the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Naidu launched the scheme in the Titarwasa village of Jhalawar district, which has been adopted by him under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.

During the launch, Minister said that the villages will become clean under the Mukhyamantri Swachh Gram Yojna.

Asserting that Rajasthan is no more a Bimaru state and has become progressive, Naidu said that the NDA government has taken a series of measures to promote agriculture and allied sectors in view of the declining contribution of these sectors to the GDP.

MHUPA Minister also highlighted the schemes started by the government for the welfare of farmers.

CM Raje said the garbage will be collected door to door in selected gram panchayats under the Swachh Gram Yojana.

On this occasion, the State transport minister Yunus Khan, urban development and housing minister Srichand Kriplani, MP Dushyant Singh and others were present.
