Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana Bihar – The Bihar Government s going to launch a new scheme for the senior citizens of the state. The name of this scheme is Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. Under this scheme, the state government will provide free tour and travel packages to about 3,000 eligible people of the state. The Bihar Tourism Department will operate this scheme and start this scheme.

The Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana Bihar project is in association with the Indian Railways. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) will faciliate this scheme.
Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana Bihar – Travel Package
Under this scheme, the state government will provide a seven-day package to the eligible people of the state. This scheme is specially launched for those people who cannot afford to visit religious places.
Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana Bihar – Selection Process
All the MLAs of the state will send the name of the pilgrims from their respective Assembly constituencies.
The Tourism Minister Mr. Pramod Kumar said that the department has received the proposal from IRCTC and we will go ahead with the proposal on the name of Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. The tourism department has decided to provide a good opportunity to the pilgrims by providing a free package to the eligible people. In this package, the selected people would travel to Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Somnath and Dwarka. He also said that the tour package will also include Sufi places like Ajmer Sharif and Fatehpur Sikri.
Beneficiaries Will Include Both Hindu & Muslims
Minister informed that the department will send 1,000 Muslims and 2,000 Hindu pilgrims to the tour. However, the proposal is under consideration and soon it will get a final approval. According to Pramod Kumar, the state government is considering for at least one trip this year.
Tourism Minister also informed that the state government is considering to launch the scheme in Bihar on Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October).
