Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana Bihar
The Bihar Government has launched the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana for the families of SC / ST / OBC categories of the state. CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated this ambitious housing scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will provide an assistance of Rs. 1.2 lakh to the eligible people for the reconstruction of their houses. This assistance will be given to those people who have been allotted houses before 1996 under Indira Awas Yojana or other housing schemes. Under this scheme, the state government will provide 1.20 Lakh assistance to over than 20,000 beneficiaries in the first 5 months.
The main motive of the state government behind launching this scheme is to improve the condition of the houses of poor people and to benefits them to live in good houses. In addition to the launch of Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana, the state government has also launched Mukhyamantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana for providing a financial assistance of Rs. 60,000 for purchasing land and to make them eligible for assistance under Pradhan mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) housing scheme.
The Bihar Rural development department will provide assistance amount directly into the bank account of beneficiaries.
Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana Bihar (MGAY)
All those people and families who have been allotted new housing units under Indira Awas Yojana or other housing schemes before the Financial Year 1996 can now get financial assistance of Rs. 1.2 lakh for the reconstruction of their houses. The state government has launched this scheme because the houses given to the allottees are now in disreputable conditions and needs to be reconstructed. This scheme will benefits particularly, people belonging to SC / ST / OBC category resides in these houses.
During the launching program of this scheme, CM Nitish Kumar transferred the assistance amount in the bank account of 200 beneficiaries.
