Meal to Every poor in Madhya Pradesh – MP Annapurna Yojana
About Annapurna Yojana in MP – The Madhya Pradesh Government is going to launch the Annapurna Yojana. The main motive of this scheme is to provide healthy food to poor is all set to be launched by the state government of Madhya Pradesh. As per source annapurna scheme has been inspired from the Tamilnadu’s Amma Canteen scheme.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will be made a formal announcement of the Annapurna. The scheme will be announced in Bhopal on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on 25th September.
Initially, the subsidized meal scheme would be launched in four cities including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. The Municipal Corporation will be responsible for providing the food through various outlets would be given to the local municipal corporation.
What is Annapurna Scheme Providing?
Annapurna Yojana, the subsidized meal programme and-
- It will provide a healthy and filling “Thali” to for just Rs. 10 to the poor living in the state.
The main motive of the Madhya Pradesh Government is to feed the poor and is under consideration as per the TOI report. The official announcement is yet to be made regarding the scheme.

The Rs. 10 Thali which would be provided under the Annapurna Yojana would comprise of Roti, Dal, Sabji, Rice and Pickle.
