Manipur Free Education Scheme for IX & Xth Class Students
Manipur Free Education Scheme – The State Government of Manipur is considering for the launch of an education scheme named ‘Manipur Free Education Scheme for IX & Xth Class Students’ for the children of financially weak families in the state by March 15.
Details of Manipur Free Education Scheme
Under this new Free Education Scheme, the Manipur Government will bear all the expenses of books, admission fees and uniform for the poor students reading in Class IX and X.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh provided information about this scheme. CM made the announcement of this scheme during the inauguration program of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) with staff quarters and a Rural Market Shed at Tumukhong Moirangpurel in Manipur’s Imphal East District on Wednesday.
The state government is going to take this step by undertaking the report of school drop out in the state due to poverty.
The main motive of this scheme is to help the children of financially weak families complete matriculation since the minimum qualification of Government employment in the State is Class X standard.
CM also informed that, the Manipur Government has taken a decision for helping the poor students to complete Matriculation.
Benefits of Manipur Free Education Scheme
- Under this free education scheme, the state government will provide free books, uniform, admission fees, shoes etc.
- Through this scheme, the state government wants to increase the literacy rate in the state.
- Through this scheme, the dropout ration of schools will be reduced.
Chief Minister Biren Singh had also assured that he would put in all possible efforts to upgrade Moirangpurel Government High School to a higher secondary school. He further said that the necessary staff and doctors would be deputed to the newly inaugurated PHC as soon as possible.
