Maharashtra One Farmer One Transformer Scheme – The Maharashtra Government is going to launch a new scheme for the farmers of the state for reducing the electricity losses. The name of the scheme is Maharashtra One Farmer One Transformer Scheme. The state government will launch this scheme next month on 15th August (Independence Day).

Under this scheme, the Maharashtra government will allocate one transformer per farmer. This information is given by the said Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Minister stated that the electricity losses are a whopping 50 percent in some places and the state government wants to reduce it to 15 percent.
Under this scheme, the Maharashtra Government will provide electrical connection for high voltage distribution line to about two lakh farmers of the state. It will ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state.
The Honorable Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has also made an announcement of a Rs 2 lakh hike in the compensation given to the kind of people killed in the attack by wild animals.
The Maharashtra Government will provide Rs. 10 Lakh instead of Rs. 8 Lakh to all the affected families will now get Rs 10 lakh instead of Rs 8 lakh. Minister said that by adding Rs 3 lakh will be given in cash and rest as a deposit.
Likely those farmers who have loosen their cattle in the attack by wild animals will now get Rs 40,000, up from Rs 25,000 earlier.
The State Government of Maharashtra will implement India’s First Plastic Buyback Scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will make such a facility under which the customers get money from the retailers on handling PET bottles and Milk Pouches back to the store in order to ensure recycling of Plastic waste.
