Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana – A convention of Tirth Darshan Yatris is being organized in the Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of successful completion of five years of Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana on Sunday. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address the state-level convention at Ravindra Bhawan.

Over 5 Lakh people have availed the benefits of the scheme and visited different religious places. The seminar will be conducted so that the pilgrims can share their experience and provide feedback for making the yatra more comfortable.
About 502 trains have been operated under this scheme and during 2016-2017, 51,000 Pilgrims benefited from it. During the financial year 2017-2018, there is a target to operate 125 trains and it will benefit 1.25 lakh pilgrims. Incase there is a rise in the number of pilgrims more trains may be operated.
Besides this, many new religious places were added on the request of pilgrims which included Kamakhyadevi, Girnar Ji, Orchha, Chitrakoot and many others.
The food to the pilgrims is provided in the trains by the Tirth Darshan Yojana, details of which are mentioned in every coach of the train.
MP Govt is providing financial help to its citizen for visiting Angkorwat Mandir Samuh of Cambodia, Seeta Mata Mandir of Sri Lanka, Kailash Mansarovar and Sindhu Darshan. The government bears 50 per cent of their expenditure or a maximum of Rs 30,000.
