Madhya Pradesh Govt. to Launche Kaushalya Yojana to Trained 2 Lakh Women in State
Madhya Pradesh government has decided to launch Kaushalya Yojana to trained two lakh women in the state. Under the scheme, 15 days to 9 months training would be provided to the women in 15 trades with the help of IIM Indore, IISER, MANIT, NIFT, engineering and polytechnic colleges and ITI which will be recognized by NCVT.
According to the scheme, in the current year, about 500 crores would be spent on this scheme. This amount will be collected from PM Skill Development Scheme and other departments of the state. Under the scheme, about Rs. 11,000 would be spent on each woman.
The scheme was discussed with the Technical Education and Skill Development Project Examination Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had presented its motives in the student panchayat, after which the Committee approved the Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Sanvardhan Yojana for men and Kaushalya Yojana for women.
The Chief Secretary said that these schemes should be given special attention to the quality of training. As well as coordinate with private companies to provide immediate employment after training.
Under Kaushalya training scheme, admission, selection and placement of training institutions monitoring have also been arranged. This year about 2.50 lakh young people will be trained for self-employment under Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Sanvardhan Yojana.
