Kerala Govt. to Launch Cattle Insurance Scheme to Cover 40,000 Cows in State

Kerala’s Chief Minister Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan is going to launch new cattle insurance scheme in the state. The main aim is to cover 40,000 cows in the state by providing cattle insurance, the state government would soon start cattle insurance scheme.

The Animal Minister K Raju announced the scheme on 15th December while he was inaugurating a state-level program for prevention of foot and mouth disease.
The cattle bring from another state will be examined for diseases at animal husbandry check posts under this scheme. For detailed inspection of risks of disease outbreak and examining the livestock, latest facilities will be provided to the check posts.
After observing that youths and NRKs are coming forth to invest in agriculture and animal husbandry sectors in the state, the state is coming with the scheme.
