In the upcoming time of election to two Legislative Assembly seats, the Karnataka state government has decided to increase the allocation of subsidized rice from 5 kg to 8 kg for a unit of the family under Anna Bhagya scheme.

The proposal to increase subsidized ration to BPL families under the Anna Bhagya scheme was presented at the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) on Wednesday.
