Karnataka Government to Construct 7 Lakh Houses for Homeless
The Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah has informed that the Karnataka Government is planning for the construction of about 7 lakh affordable housing units across the state for the homeless people of the state.
Yesterday, during the announcement of the construction of 2,272 affordable housing units under the Central Government’s ambitious scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)’ across the state at the Bhootale Pitch in Vishakhapatnam, CM Siddharamaiah said that the Karnataka State Government was working under the principle of Social Justice.

During the program, CM claimed that the Karnataka Government had launched many ambitious schemes and initiatives which can’t be found anywhere. He said that during the past 4 years, the Karnataka Government has constructed about 12.5 lakh affordable housing units for the needy people of the state. Besides this, the government has also issued the construction work orders of 10,000 affordable hoses under PM Awas Yojana.
During the program, K.R MLA M.K Somashaker stated that the affordable housing units will be constructed on Bhootale Pitch will be provided to the homeless and needy people of the K.R Assembly Constituency.
