Karnataka Chief Minister Housing Project | Benefits of Built 60,000 Houses
Karnataka Chief Minister Housing Project – The Karnataka Government has nominated the scheme as the ‘Chief Minister’s Housing Project’. He has promised to give the home to the urban poor within one year of the Government’s Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. In the one year under this scheme, about 22,000 houses have been reserved for districts of North Karnataka.

Under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme,Urban Development Minister UT Khader has promised to provide 22,000 housing to the districts of North Karnataka. However, the state government has changed the name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana into Chief Minister Housing Scheme like Ujjwala Yojana into Anlil Bhagya Yojana.
The central government of Karnataka and the state government will contribute 30 percent to the home of the Karnataka urban poor as well as the central government will provide a support fund of Rs 1.5 lakh for SC / ST applicants under this scheme and the state government will provide Rs 2 lakh. Under the scheme, people of general category will earn Rs 1.2 lakh from the central government and Rs 1.5 lakh from the state government.
Benefits of Built 60,000 Houses Under Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme
- Under this scheme, a subsidy of 50 percent will be given to the beneficiary and the central government will give 1.5 lakh rupees to the SC / ST beneficiary and the state government will provide Rs 2 lakh as the subsidy.
- However, the beneficiaries of the general category will be given Rs 1.5 lakh from the center and 1.20 lakh subsidy from the state government.
- 4.50 lakhs will be spent on each house to be built. Of which 30 percent will be given by the Central Government as the fund.
- The state government has all set to provide affordable houses to the general public. This target will be achieved by constructing 60,000 houses in the state
