Haryana Farmer Toll Free Number – The Haryana Government is going to introduce a toll free number for the farmers of the state very soon. Through this toll free number, the farmers can get inform about damage caused to crops due to natural calamities. This information was given by the Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar.
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana
In the last three years, Rs 300 crore has been provided under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, out of which 232 crore insurance companies were given as compensation in the wake of profit to three lakh farmers.

According to the agriculture minister, all the farmers can get information about damage caused to crops due to natural calamities such as hailstorms and water logging within 48 hours to the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or Tehsildar, who would sort out the situation and inform the insurance company.
The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is proving many great benefits to the farmers. The Central Government had launched the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the welfare of the farmers of the state. Under this scheme, the central government provides crop insurance to the farmers in order to save them from crop damage loses.
In the state this year, bajra has been sown in 5,50,000 hectare area and 11.28 lakh metric tonnes is estimated to be produced. There is an estimated yield of higher yield of millet in Mahendergarh, Rewari, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Bhiwani and Dadri, Mewat and Gurigram districts.
This is a free bicycle distribution scheme. Under this scheme, the state government provides free bicycles to the eligible and needy students of the state.
