Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar announced new scheme today for the women laborers of the state would enable to become “self-reliant” and “employable“.
He said that about 50,000 women of the state will be provided free sewing machines under this scheme.
Chief Minister said that 50,000 free solar lanterns would also be distributed free of cost to the women living in the slums which do not have the facility of electricity so as to illuminate their houses.
Besides this, Khattar also announced a number of development projects to the tune of over Rs 150 crore.
He said that a super specialty hospital would be constructed in Narwana after the availability of a sufficient number of doctors. Khattar said that various schemes were being implemented by the state government for all sections of the society.
CM said that there are about 59 lakh families across the state, out of which 53 lakh families have already been provided with the facility of LPG gas. The remaining 6 lakh families would soon be covered under this scheme. Haryana would become a kerosene-free state after this.
The Chief Minister stressed on the need for skill development of youth to make them employable.
He said that to ensure this, Haryana Vishwakarma University for Skill Development has been set up in Palwal in which 800 courses of one month to one-year duration would be introduced.
Recently the center has approved the construction of 12 new National Highways in Haryana. Work on these would begin soon.
He said that the construction in order develop the Airport in Hissar would soon be started.
During describing strong road network as pivotal for the development of any country or state, Khattar said that a superhighway from Delhi to Katra via Rohtak-Jind-Punjab would be constructed and the distance from Delhi to Amritsar would be covered in just five hours with the construction of this.
