Haryana Antyodaya Aahar Yojana Subsidized Food Canteens – Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal Khattar on has introduced four new subsidised food canteens in four cities of the state i.e. Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar and Yamunanagar. These canteens have been started under the ‘Haryana Antyodaya Aahar Yojana’ for providing healthy, nutritious and hygienic food at affordable prices of Rs 10 per meal to the poor and needy.

On this occasion, CM Khattar said that through these canteens, the food would be served to the registered construction workers besides other poor and needy.

Food Distribution Timing in Haryana Antyodaya Aahar Yojana Subsidized Food Canteens

Besides this CM also announced the food distribution timing i.e.-

  • Between 11:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs every day.

  • Each food packet –
  • Weighing – 730 grams
  • Calories – 1,150
  • Chapattis – 4
  • Rice
  • Daal
  • Cooked Seasonal Vegetables
  • Curd or Raita
  • Green Chutney
  • Gur
Cost of Meal Packet

In these canteens, each food packet would cost Rs 20 of which Rs 10 would be borne by the labour department.

Khattar stated that under the ‘Haryana Antyodaya Aahar Yojana’, a total number of 23 subsidised canteens, one each at district headquarters except Gurugram and Faridabad, would be established.

CM Launched these four subsidised food canteens through video conferencing. On this occasion, Health Minister Anil Vij, Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nayab Singh Saini, Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment, Dr Mahavir Singh and other officers were also present besides CM.

Besides this, the construction work of these canteens was expected to be completed by the end of April 2018.

Below is the exact location of the subsidized food canteens which have been temporarily opened –

  • Women Training Centre building, Dabua Colony, Faridabad
  • Shelter Home of Municipal Corporation at Bheem Nagar, Sector-5, Gurugram
  • Vishwakarma Dharamshala, Auto Market, Hisar
  • Labour Shed near ITI in Yamunanagar.
  • Besides this, one such canteen has already functional at Sonipat.

These will be shifted to the buildings being constructed at Bhuteshwar Mandir Chowk, Gurugram, Nagar Sudhar Mandal Office land, Hisar, Haryana Labour Welfare Board Campus, Dabua Colony, Faridabad and Labour Shed, Labour Colony, Yamunanagar.
