Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana – Low Cost Food Scheme for Working Laborers

Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana: The Gujarat government has introduced a new scheme for workers working in the construction sector. Under this, the laborers working in the state’s manufacturing sector will be given the subsidized food subsidy of Rs 10. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani gave this information on Sunday.

CM said, “The name of the scheme will be Shramik Annapurna Yojana. Under this, the laborers working in the construction sector will get roti, vegetables and pulses for 10 rupees. Though its cost is 30 rupees, but the government will make it available in 10 rupees. A subsidy of 20 rupees will be given on this. Rupani said that for the implementation of this scheme the state has allocated Rs. 50 crores in the budget.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chauhan government had introduced Deen Dayal Rasoi Yojana and the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha launched ‘Amma Canteen’. Recently, BJP Government planning to launch Annapurna Bhojnalaya started in UP, in which breakfast will be given in only 3 rupees and the food would be given in just 5 rupees.
