The government agency is running a survey for the identification of beneficiaries to construct housing under PM Awas Yojana. All the information of the beneficiaries is being sent to the government through the mobile app by spot visits. They are also taking pictures of beneficiaries. After this new system, the applications filed by the Corporation in the past for the allocating of housing, will not work.

Under PM Awas Yojana (PMAY), the housing will be constructed in four different categories for eligible beneficiaries. The survey of slum areas of the city has already done by the municipal administration. Besides this, the applications have also been taken directly from the corporate office and councilors. About 5,500 applications have been gathered in the corporation for PM Awas Yojana. Meanwhile, the government has appointed an agency to identify the beneficiaries for PM Awas Yojana. The agency has started the identification of beneficiaries in Durg Corporation area.
Corporation Provided the List:
The corporation has provided the list of slum areas of the city to the agency for selection of beneficiaries. Besides this, it has been also informed that which areas of wards are remaining for the selection of the beneficiaries. There are 58 slums in the Durg corporation area. Out of these slums, there are 50 permanent and 8 temporary slums. The residents of slums are houseless.
Housing will be Constructed in four Categories:
–  Under PPP-based Self-location Slum Redevelopment Scheme, the slum redevelopment will be done by the involvement of private builders by using the permanent slums’ land as a resource.
– The eligible beneficiaries of housing loan interest subsidy will be given Rs.6 lakh home loan on the interest subsidy of 6.5%.
– The housing will be constructed in slums by the involvement of Housing Board, Development Authority, builders and Developers.
– The individual housing construction received EWS beneficiaries will be funded by the central and state governments for the construction of their own housing up to carpet area.
